NetManage · EverAd · Digital Fountain

> QA Engineer → QA Manager → Senior Automation Project Lead
+

Started from scratch as a QA engineer on NetManage's TCP/IP stack and terminal emulation products — the unglamorous infrastructure that enterprise software ran on. Within a year, moved into management. Over the next decade, built and led QA groups at three companies across two continents: established EverAd's QA function from zero, led qualification projects at Digital Fountain in California (acquired by Qualcomm), and returned to NetManage to define the automation methodology for security-critical product lines including SSL, SSH2, firewalls, and terminal emulators. This was before "test automation" was a discipline — Asaf was defining what it meant.

[ EXECUTION OUTCOME ]Built QA organizations from scratch at multiple companies. Established automation frameworks and methodologies before industry standards existed. Gained rare cross-continental experience spanning Israeli enterprise software and Silicon Valley R&D environments.
